American Kids Sports Center Comes to Southwest Bakersfield!

Dear families of children enrolled in Stars recreational programs: 3-18-08
It is our pleasure to announce that starting March 31, American Kids Sports Center will
begin conducting its children’s sports instruction and fun activities in the facility
currently known as Stars Gymnastics. If you are unfamiliar with American Kids, we
have been part of Bakersfield since 1984, originally known as American Academy of
Gymnastics. We opened our new 40,000 sq ft kids sports center a year ago in the
northwest where we provide gymnastics, tumbling & trampoline, cheerleading, judo,
taekwondo, wrestling, dance, and swimming lessons as well as other fun activities. We
invite you to visit the facility anytime to get a glimpse of what we hope to provide for
you here in the near future.
We are excited about growing a quality program in the southwest! Over the coming
months you will see many positive changes both in class structure and new activities.
Many of the staff you have enjoyed at Stars will continue with us, but you’ll see some
new faces as we expand and grow. We want your children to continue to enjoy their
gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline, and cheerleading under our energetic staff. For the
term that starts March 31, we will use your current tuition rates and are happy to provide
“Unlimited Classes” during this term to all recreational classes (details will follow soon).
Because we are a new business, and not a continuation of Stars, we do need everyone to
fill out our registration form and sign our waivers before attending their first class.
Additionally, we do charge an annual membership fee of $35 per child per year, but will
waive it if you choose to register as a GOLD member. See attached forms. We hope that
as a community you will support us with your patronage as we work to provide your
family the quality service we believe you deserve.
